Yesh yesh, my firsht week in neederland is nearly complete, and as you can see from the attached preparations for queens day are well underway. As my Dutch client kindly pointed out, it doesn't matter if you are not wearing orange, as after a few minutes you will be so drunk to realise, but you will still look like a tourist!
Well Queens day is always celebrated on 30th April, but it (much like our queens birthday) is not today. In fact it is in September or July.
So they paint the town orange, sell junk to kids, and do wierd and typically Dutch stuff for a day. One day I'll have to bring mrs. S and mini S here, but right now not even queens day parties in holland will stop me from wanting to get home to my family. Except maybe a volcanic ash cloud...
